The Italian novelist discusses embodiment and desire in fiction, and why she hates male feminists.
Lucia Senesi is an Italian director and writer based in Los Angeles. In 2016, she completed her first feature-length film, Avanti, a documentary about the sociopolitical crisis in Europe. Her short film, A Short Story, premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2019 and received an Honorary Mention from the 2019 Santa Monica Film Festival, among many other awards. Lucia is currently a member of the Alliance of Women Directors (AWD). Her writing has appeared in Film International and The Millions.
