Miriam Greenspan is a mental health counselor, poet, and writer on women, psychology, and politics. Her 1983 book A New Approach to Women and Therapy pioneered the field of feminist therapy. Healing Through the Dark Emotions: The Wisdom of Grief, Fear, and Despair (2003) won the Nautilus Book Award in self-help/psychology.
