Lily Saint is assistant professor of English at Wesleyan University, where her research explores the nexus between ethics and cultural practice in the Global South. Her book considers black practices of reading and spectatorship in 20th-century South Africa as ethical engagements that occurred during a period of profound ethical crisis.
