John Yargo is a PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts. His research explores race and ecological apocalypticism in the global Renaissance. Previously, he worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jordan and an English teacher in Thailand. His writing has been published in The Millions, The Ring, Fiction Advocate, and the Xavier Review.
