Heidi North is a writer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Her short stories, poetry, and creative nonfiction has appeared widely in journals and anthologies in New Zealand and internationally. She won the Irish Feile Filiochta International Poetry Competition in 2007 and the Asia New Zealand Short Story Competition in 2014. She was the New Zealand fellow on the 2016 Shanghai Writers’ Association’s International Writing Program. Her debut poetry collection Possibility of Flight was published in New Zealand in 2015. She has a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Auckland.
