A Pushcart Prize and Best American Poetry recipient, Elena Karina Byrne will release her fourth full-length poetry book If This Makes You Nervous with Omnidawn Publishing in October 2021 and No, Don’t, a chapbook, with What Books Press in 2020. Voyeur Hour, her collection of “interrupted” essays and photomontage annotations celebrates the mise-en-scène art of discontinuity. Elena has collaborated with MOCA, The J. Paul Getty Center, and the Craft Contemporary Museum, among others. An editor-at-large for Terminus magazine, she is now enrolled in Antioch University Santa Barbara’s MFA program in Writing and Contemporary Media while serving as poetry consultant and Moderator for The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books and literary programs director for the historic Ruskin Art Club.
