V. V. Ganeshananthan is a fiction writer and journalist. She is the author of a novel, Love Marriage (Random House), which is set partly in Sri Lanka. It was longlisted for the Orange Prize and named one of Washington Post Book World’s Best of 2008. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Granta, Ploughshares, and many others. She teaches in the MFA program at the University of Minnesota, and is presently a visiting faculty member at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
