Ted Barrow

Ted Barrow, PhD, is an art historian, writer, and lecturer who interrogates the surfaces and spaces of artworks through different conduits. A Gilded Age scholar whose dissertation examined Winslow Homer and John Singer Sargent in Florida, Barrow has writing in Artforum, Variable West, Juxtapoz, PIN-UP, Walker Art Center’s Mn Artists, and other publications. The host of Thrasher Magazine’s popular This Old Ledge series on YouTube, Barrow lives in San Francisco.
