Philip Sayers is a PhD candidate in English and Sexual Diversity Studies at the University of Toronto. Before that, he lived and studied in the United Kingdom. His academic publications include articles on Judith Butler, William Faulkner, Zadie Smith, and David Foster Wallace, and he will defend his dissertation — on how contemporary writers and theorists think about authorship — in fall 2018.
