Michał Choiński is an associate professor of American studies at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. In 2022, he was a senior Fulbright Fellow at Yale University. His latest books explore the literature of the American South (Southern Hyperboles: Metafigurative Strategies of Narration [LSU Press, 2020]) and publishing history (New Yorker. Biografia pisma, które zmieniło Amerykę [Znak, 2024]). He is currently working on a book on the motif of homecoming in the literature of the US South.
