Julie Crawford is the Mark Van Doren Professor of Humanities at Columbia University. Her most recent book is Mediatrix: Women, Politics, and Literary Production in Early Modern England (Oxford 2014). She is currently completing a book titled Margaret Cavendish’s Political Career.
