Doyle D. Calhoun is a university assistant professor of Francophone postcolonial studies at the University of Cambridge. He has published widely on African and Caribbean literatures and cinemas. His cultural criticism has appeared in venues such as Public Books, Salon, and the Sydney Review of Books. He is the author of The Suicide Archive: Reading Resistance in the Wake of French Empire, published by Duke University Press in October 2024, and co-editor of Senegalese Transmediations: Literature, New Media, and Audiovisual Cultures, published by Yale University in January 2025.
