Claire Phillips is the author of the novella, Black Market Babies (11th Hour), and recipient of the Academy of American Poets, First Prize. She is a Pushcart nominee and received a notable mention in The Best American Essays 2015. She is Director of the Los Angeles Writers Reading Series and teaches writing at CalArts, SCI-Arc, and UC Irvine.
