Claire Kim is a doctoral student at UCLA. She has worked as a translator and editor for Newsweek Korea, and the Neungyule Korean/English dictionary project. She has won honors for her work from the Korea Literature Translation Institute. HerEnglish translation of the Korean novel Rina by Kang Young-sook, about the life of a refugee, will be published in fall 2014 by Dalkey Archive Press.
