Carmine Grimaldi is a writer and filmmaker. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Intercept, Representations, and Filmmaker Magazine, which last year named him one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film. He received a PhD in history from the University of Chicago and is currently an A. W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
