Arundhati Roy lives in New Delhi. She is the author of the novels The God of Small Things, for which she received the 1997 Booker Prize, and The Ministry of Utmost Happiness (2017), finalist for the US National Book Critics Circle Award. A collection of her essays from the past 20 years, My Seditious Heart, was published by Haymarket Books in 2019. Her latest book is Azadi: Fascism, Fiction, and Freedom in the Time of the Virus (2022).
