Anthony Morreale is a PhD Candidate in the History Department of the University of California, Berkeley, working on late-19th and early-20th century business history, with a focus on Vietnamese business people’s economic, religious, mutual aid, and racial politics. He has previously researched the history of Vietnamese communist literary policy and dissidence; the history of the translation of Marxist classics into Vietnamese; and the history of Sino-phobia in the Republic of Vietnam (the Saigon government).
