Andrew Russeth is an art critic based in New York. His writing has appeared in W, New York, Bijutsu Techo, Blau, and Parkett. In 2019, he was awarded the Rabkin Prize for visual arts journalism. He has been executive editor of ARTnews, deputy editor of Surface, and a senior editor at The New York Observer, where he edited GalleristNY, a website that he co-founded about the New York art world. His blog about contemporary art, 16 Miles of String, has been supported by the Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant Program.
