Alix Christie writes literary historical fiction and contemporary short stories. Her debut novel Gutenberg’s Apprentice (2014) was short-listed for the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award and long-listed for the International Dublin Literary Award. The paperback of her novel The Shining Mountains (2023), a family saga based on the real course and costs of Manifest Destiny, is in bookstores on March 4, 2025.
