Robert Walser understood.
He wanted to be microscopic like
handwriting. Berlin was a fiasco but
before they captured him he walked
into breezes, loving the forest, his
sturdy boots oiled and scuffed with mud.
* The question that Robert Walser asked his sister Lisa in 1929, before his commitment to the Waldau asylum.
