Zining Mok

Zining Mok is a Singaporean writer obsessed with random things: orchids, arabesques, sand. The Orchid Folios is her first book. Her recent work appears in the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Cincinnati Review, Witness Magazine, and The Rumpus. She is the recipient of the Helen G. Scott Prize for Best Critical Essay on American Literature and an honorable mention from the Academy of American Poets James Wright Prize. Zining is currently working toward an MFA at the University of Minnesota, where she teaches creative writing. She spends most of her free time dancing.
