“Cobbling It All Together”: Mary Helen Washington and Shaun Myers, In Conversation
Mary Helen Washington and Shaun Myers discuss navigating the university environment as Black women....
Shaun Myers is assistant professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in American Literary History, South Atlantic Quarterly, and African American Literature in Transition, 1980-1990. She is currently working on a book that traces how writers such as Toni Morrison, Octavia Butler, and Andrea Lee invented narrative forms that refuse the historical demand to apprehend and determine blackness.
