Sarah Ivens was born in London and now lives in Texas with her husband, son and daughter, via a decade spent in New York City, Los Angeles and Louisville, Kentucky. Her essays have been published in the Guardian, the Telegraph, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. She received her PhD in Comparative Humanities from the University of Louisville.
