Sara Lipton

Sara Lipton is the author of Dark Mirror: The Medieval Origins of Anti-Jewish Iconography (Henry Holt/Metropolitan Books, 2014), which won the AJS Jordan Schnitzer Book Award.  She is Professor of History at Stony Brook University, and has held fellowships from the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers of the NYPL, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and Oxford University. Lipton’s writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the New York Review of Books, and The Huffington Post.
