Peter Capretto is assistant professor of Pastoral Care in Religion and Culture at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His writings on politics and the philosophy of religion have appeared in the Journal of the American Academy of Religion, Political Theology, The Heythrop Journal, the Journal of Religion and Health, and various scholarly anthologies. He is co-editor of Trauma and Transcendence: Suffering and the Limits of Theory (Fordham University Press, 2018). Peter holds a PhD in Religion, Psychology, and Culture from Vanderbilt University. He is also trained clinically as a hospice chaplain.
