Osvaldo Oyola is a lecturer in the New York University Expository Writing Program and writes on pop culture, race, and gender on his own blog, The Middle Spaces, focusing on popular music and comic books. He serves on the Executive Committee for the International Comics Art Forum, and lives in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up.
