Monica H. Green

Monica H. Green, a fellow of the Medieval Academy of America, is an expert in the history of medicine in premodern Europe and global infectious diseases. She is the author of, among other books, Making Women’s Medicine Masculine: The Rise of Male Authority in Pre-Modern Gynaecology, which won the 2009 Margaret W. Rossiter History of Women in Science Prize from the History of Science Society. In 2014, she edited Pandemic Disease in the Medieval World: Rethinking the Black Death.
