Miriam Pensack is a writer, editor, and doctoral candidate in Latin American History at New York University. Her work has appeared in Dissent, Jacobin, The Intercept, the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, The Canadian Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and The Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of Gender and Sexuality Studies, among other publications. She lives in Brooklyn.
