Michael Moore teaches medieval and European history at the University of Iowa. He is the author of A Sacred Kingdom: Bishops and the Rise of Frankish Kingship and various articles about medieval and modern intellectual life and culture. His latest book, Nicholas of Cusa and the Kairos of Modernity: Cassirer, Gadamer, Blumenberg, was published in September 2013.
