Michael Devine is co-founder of Famous Letter Writer, an arts collective exploring connectivity through music, poetics, and live performance. He is poetry editor of Saranac Review and an associate professor of English at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh. His essays on popular culture and poetry have appeared in American Literature, Adaptation, Measure, and other venues. His current book project on early cinema and poetry won support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and was named a finalist for best work in American studies by the McNeil Center at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. in English literature from UCLA. Famous Letter Writer releases its first EP in Summer 2018.
