Lisa J. Wise

Lisa J. Wise, MEd is vice chair of information and support for the IWMF and has a bachelor of education from McGill University and a master of education from Harvard University. She and her husband of 32 years live in their empty nest near Philadelphia where she is working on an essay collection titled Incurable & Other Compliments about family legacy, loss, and laughter, and living fearlessly with third-generation lymphoma. Born into a cancer-cluster family, Lisa navigated the palliative care journey with several immediate family members, which informs her work of 22 years as a family and patient-centered healthcare specialist. Living with an incurable but treatable blood cancer this past decade, she benefits from the wisdom, inspiration, and strength of fellow patients as she coordinates cancer support groups nationwide.
