Lana Dee Povitz is visiting assistant professor of history at Middlebury College. She is the author of Stirrings: How Activist New Yorkers Ignited a Movement for Food Justice (2019). Her interests include American social movements, oral history, and the intersections of radical politics, spirituality, and psychotherapy. She is at work on a study of Shulamith Firestone and her sisters, Laya and Tirzah.
