Kevin Power

Kevin Power is a novelist and critic based in Dublin. His novel Bad Day in Blackrock (Lilliput Press, 2008; Pocket Books, 2010) won the 2009 Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and was filmed by Lenny Abrahamson as What Richard Did. Kevin reviews regularly for The Sunday Business Post, Literary Review, and Strange Horizons, and his blog can be found at www.antihumansite.wordpress.com. He teaches in the School of English, Dublin City University.

The Rivera Book Prize aims to provide a platform that showcases the emerging literary talent of the Chicanx/Latinx community, to cultivate the next generation of Chicanx/Latinx writers, and to continue the rich literary memory of Tomás Rivera, Chicano author, poet, activist, and educator.
