Joshua Bodwell was editorial director of Black Sparrow Press from 2019 to 2024. He is a freelance editor and writer who lives on the coast of Maine with his wife, Tamsyn, a ceramicist. He has new work forthcoming this year in The American Scholar, Los Angeles Review of Books, and The Paris Review. He served as the executive director of the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance for nearly a decade before becoming the editorial director of Godine and Black Sparrow Press.
