Joel Edward Goza is a nonresident fellow at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy. Joel’s books include America’s Unholy Ghosts: The Racist Roots of Our Faith and Politics (2019) and Rebirth of a Nation: Reparations and Remaking America (2024). His current project is tentatively entitled From Dust to Dust: Meditations on Striving and Surviving.
