Joe Stadolnik is a researcher and editor based in Chicago. He has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Stevanovich Institute on the Formation of Knowledge at the University of Chicago and at the Institute for Advanced Studies at UCL. He is working on a biography, The Unsettled Life of Duarte Brandão, and an academic monograph about medieval alchemy and genre.
