Je Banach is a member of the Residential Faculty in Fiction at the Yale Writers’ Conference. At the 2013 conference, she also taught a seminar on literary discourse (criticism and review) and led a Q&A with The New Yorker's fiction editor Deborah Treisman. She is the author of guides to classics as well as works by contemporaries such as Salman Rushdie, Hisham Matar, E. L. Doctorow, Yann Martel, and David Mitchell, among others. A recipient of the Connecticut Artist Fellowship and the New Boston Fund Fellowship in Fiction, she has written for Esquire, Granta, Guernica, KGB Bar Lit, Bookforum, Oxford University Press, Publishers Weekly, PEN, The Paris Review, and many other venues.
