James Bernard Frost is the author of the novels A Very Minor Prophet (Hawthorne Books) and World Leader Pretend (St. Martin’s Press), and the travel guide The Artichoke Trail (Hunter Publishing), which won a Lowell Thomas Award for Best Travel Guide. His articles and essays have appeared in The San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Nervous Breakdown, Role/Reboot, Trachodon Magazine, and the Farallon Review. He has been a contributor to the San Francisco Examiner and Wired Online, where he wrote food, travel, and culture reviews. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of San Francisco.
