Harrison Diskin is a PhD candidate at the University of Southern California. He works on the entanglement of political thought and material cultures, and encounters between Europeans and Native peoples in the early modern world. His writings have appeared in The Washington Post and Gotham: A Blog for Scholars of New York City History.
