Duncan Holaday is a craft distiller in northern Vermont, where he lives with his poet wife, Chin Woon Ping. He holds a BA with honors in anthropology from Wesleyan University, an MA from Cornell, and a PhD from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. His previous job was as head of the Division of Research and Director of Graduate Studies at the NTU School of Communication Studies in Singapore. His publications include Bes Hyang Dney and other Jah Hut Stories (2003) and the music CDs Live and Raw and Out of My Hands. He is currently working on a book entitled Distillery Dream: An Anthropological Romance.
