Cynthia-Marie Marmo O’Brien is a writer and editor living in New York City. Her nonfiction on faith, depression, and the imagination published in Bellevue Literary Review was a notable selection in Best American Essays 2011. She has contributed to America, Killing the Buddha, Narratively, The Rumpus, and Words Without Borders: Dispatches, among other places, and founded the online literary journal Hypothetical.
