Aram Pachyan is considered one of the most prominent representatives of the post-Soviet generation of Armenian authors and a member of the so-called Generation Independence. Born in Vanadzor in 1983, he studied law at Yerevan State University and works as a journalist at the newspaper Hraparak. He was awarded the 2021 EU Prize for Literature for his book P/F.
