Annabelle Gurwitch’s “I See You Made an Effort” Adapted for Theater

LARB AV interviews writer and actress Annabelle Gurwitch, whose new play I See You Made an Effort, based on her book of essays by the same name, is currently playing at the Skylight Theatre in Los Feliz. In this interview Gurwitch revisits some of the bigger themes in the book, talks about her favorite humorists, and explains the challenges of adapting essays into a script.
