Douglas Kearney is a poet and a teacher at CalArts' MFA program. His first full-length collection of poems, Fear, Some, was released in 2006 by Red Hen Press. His second collection, The Black Automaton, was chosen by Catherine Wagner for the 2008 National Poetry Series and was also a finalist for the Pen Center USA Award in 2010. His latest collection, Patter, was published on March 1, 2014.
