Aimee Bender has penned two novels and two collections of short stories, including a New York Times Notable Book and an LA Times Pick of the Year. She is currently a professor of creative writing at USC.
Here, Bender talks about her latest novel, struck readers, and about her relation to her readers more generally. It is, she says, like throwing a ball you hope the reader will catch.
