Paul Kingsnorth is an English author and environmental activist. He has written essays, manifestos, poetry, a memoir entitled Confessions of a Recovering Environmentalist (2017), and two novels, The Wake (2014) and Beast (2016). With Dougald Hind, he co-founded the Dark Mountain Project, which has organized summer festivals and published anthologies devoted to “uncivilization.”

She writes reviews for Artforum.com and Carla (Contemporary Art Review LA). She is currently associate professor and chair of Communication at Woodbury University in Los Angeles.
