Deborah H. Sussman is a writer and editor based in Tempe, Arizona. Formerly an editor at Scholastic and at the Jewish News of Greater Phoenix, Sussman is the communications and media specialist for the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. She has taught writing at the University of Virginia, Phoenix College, and Arizona State University, and co-teaches the workshop Mothers Who Write. Her work has been published in the Washington Post, the Phoenix New Times, and Art in America, among other places.
