Tabboo!

Cityscapes is a solo exhibition of paintings by Tabboo! across both Karma and Gordon Robichaux in New York.

The joint exhibition presents a comprehensive survey of Tabboo!’s cityscape paintings from the last three decades. Taboo!’s subject matter, New York City from Tabboo!’s apartment windows,  are not unlike the backdrops Tabboo! painted for his drag performances in the 1980s.

The exhibition is accompanied by a forthcoming fully-illustrated catalogue, featuring newly commissioned essays by Ksenia M. Soboleva, Jonathan D. Katz, and Eileen Myles.

The show runs until April 16, 2022.
