March 26th, 2012 reset - +

Are you okay with blood?

Yes.

What's your favorite negative emotion?

Guilt.

Is your study neat, or, like John Muir's, is your desk and floor covered in "lateral, medial, and terminal moraines"?

I don't have a desk at the moment. I'm writing my book in bed.

What is your go-to shoe?

Minnetonka moccasins.

What's your poison?

Kefir.

What's your problem?

Discipline.

Title of the book you're probably never going to write, but would kind of like to get around to?

Please Don't Kill Me.

What are you so afraid of?

Irrelevance.

How long can you go without putting paw to keyboard?

23 hours.

Do you require a high thread count?

What's the point? The cats'll just shred them.

Who reads you first?

Anthony Miller.

Sexy and dangerous, or brilliant and kind?

Dangerous and kind.

What character or story haunts you?

The Elvis of Guralnick's Last Train to Memphis and Careless Love.

Do you prefer to write standing, or must you lie prone in a field of dandelions with a steno pad and a good pen? Or what?

I like the idea of standing; I've been looking for a podium I can keep set up at home. Mostly though, I recline with a notebook and a Uni-ball Gel Impact pen.
