The Los Angeles Review of Books is pleased to invite you to the 8th Annual LARB/UCR Dept. of Creative Writing Lifetime Achievement Award Dinner.
This award honors a contemporary writer for their fearless, highly original verse, lifelong public service, and commitment to rearing the next generation of young writers. This year, we proudly present the Lifetime Achievement Award to the inimitable PERCIVAL EVERETT, winner of the the Dos Passos Prize, the PEN Center USA Award for Fiction, the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for Fiction, and many other honors.
Join us for a special evening featuring dinner service, conversation, and audience Q & A in celebration of Percival’s extraordinary career.
Hear toasts from Percival’s contemporaries and champions, including Michelle Latiolais, Tom Lutz, Walter Mosley, and Danzy Senna.
A selection of books by Percival Everett will be available for sale and signing at the event courtesy of Chevalier’s Books, the oldest independent bookstore in Los Angeles.
